How to collect birthday guest photos

Make one album, ask a friend to share its link, and put a QR sign where guests can pause. Help relatives who need a hand, then download a copy after the birthday.

Before you start

  • One guest photo link for the chat, invitation and printed signs.
  • A helper who can share the link and help guests on the day.
  • A printed proof and a second phone for a test upload.
  • A reminder to download a copy after guests finish adding photos.
  1. Make the album and check its dates

Create the album before you send invites. With GuestFlick, you sign in to manage it; guests add photos in their browser without an app or an account. Check how long people can add photos and how long the album stays available. Leave room after the birthday for photos that arrive late.

  2. Decide who can see the photos

Decide whether guests can see the gallery and whether you want to approve photos first. A passcode is optional. Tell guests who will see what they share. Keep management and slideshow links off the invitation.

  3. Ask someone to share the link

Ask a friend to post the guest link in the group chat and mention it on the day. Give them the guest link only. A short line works: “Add your photos from today here.”

  4. Put a sign where guests can pause

Download the printable sign from your album. Place it where people can stop without blocking a queue. Keep a tappable link in the chat for anyone who cannot scan.

  5. Help relatives who need a hand

Some guests will want a hand opening the link or choosing a photo. Your helper can do it with them, on their phone, in the browser. There is no app to install.

  6. Ask once more, then keep a copy

After the birthday, send the same link with a short thank-you and a reminder to add photos before your upload window closes. Look through the album and download the originals while it is still available. Downloading everything is free.

Keep in mind

  • A QR sign invites guests to add photos. It does not collect them for you; guests choose what to add.
  • The guest link can be passed on. Use the gallery, passcode and approval controls to suit the occasion.
  • Guest photos are another view of the day. They do not replace your own backup.
